Dishwasher wheel suitability study

Wheel geometry, axle fit and material requirements considered together.

An original Vekform CAD design study, shown through CAD views and a rendered workshop scene.

Exploded CAD view of the dishwasher wheel suitability study and its separate components.

Start with the axle and wheel

An original axle reference supports a wheel with a defined hub, rim and relief openings. A separate end cap makes the axial interface visible.

Keep the contact geometry clear

The hub bore, axle shoulder and cap have separate jobs. Their geometry establishes the nominal arrangement before material behavior is considered.

Treat material choice as part of the design

Hot water, detergent chemistry and repeated loading shape the material review. Bore clearance is only one part of selecting a wheel for this environment.

Review suitability as a whole

This design study connects the wheel profile with the questions a real application must resolve, including fit, retention, chemical exposure, temperature and repeated movement.
