One Georgia studio for scanning, modeling, and additive manufacturing

Vekform is a mail-in 3D printing service based in Atlanta that serves every corner of Georgia. We handle the whole chain in one place. If you have a CAD file, we print it. If you have a physical part and no file, we 3D scan it, rebuild the geometry, and print it. If you have a sketch, we model it and print a functional prototype.

That matters for Georgia businesses because most online print services only accept a finished CAD file, and most local shops print whatever you hand them without the engineering in between. Vekform does the capture, the modeling, and the printing, so a facilities manager in Macon or an inventor in Savannah can send a broken part or an idea and get a working part back.

Every job is quoted before work begins with the price and the ship date together. Quotes are free.

Materials we print

We match the material to what the part has to do rather than to what it originally was. Here is the short version of how we choose.

MaterialBest forWhy
PLALooks and fit checks, display modelsLow cost, stiff, sharp detail. Softens in a hot car, so not for anything that lives outside or near heat.
PETGHousings, brackets with light load, moisture exposureTougher than PLA with better temperature and chemical resistance. A good default for indoor functional parts.
ASAOutdoor parts, automotive and marine trim, UV exposureUV stable and weather resistant, holds color outdoors. Our pick for parts that live in sun and rain.
Nylon (PA)Gears, clips, snap fits, living hinges, wear surfacesTough and slightly flexible with excellent fatigue life. Resists oils and fuels. Absorbs moisture, so we dry and seal it.
Carbon fiber nylon (PA-CF)Stiff brackets, fixtures, jigs, drone and robotics framesThe stiffest common FDM material with good heat resistance and very low warp. The go to for structural replacement parts.
Polycarbonate (PC)High heat, impact, transparent or translucent partsHighest heat resistance of the group and very impact resistant. Used for light housings, guards, and under hood parts that stay away from the exhaust.
TPU (flexible)Gaskets, bumpers, grommets, seals, feetRubber like flexibility in a range of hardness. Replaces torn rubber parts the manufacturer never sold separately.

How mail-in works across Georgia

One. Request a quote and describe the part or upload your file. A photo is enough to start. Two. If the part is physical, mail it to the address we send you, or in metro Atlanta ask us to pick it up. Most of Georgia reaches us in one business day by ground. Three. We scan, model, and quote. You approve the price and the ship date. Four. We print, finish, and ship the part back, with the original if you want it returned.

There is no walk-in counter. The whole service runs through the quote form, email, and the mail, which is exactly why it works the same from Atlanta as it does from Valdosta. Metro Atlanta customers can ask us to pick the part up instead of mailing it.
