Define the instrument opening

A rectangular recess seats the original blank instrument envelope. The raised upper brow and short side returns extend the surrounding fascia.

Capture the panel thickness

The front flange and rear frame meet opposite faces of a 4 mm panel reference. Four fastener positions connect the two components.

Keep the parts serviceable

The rear frame separates from the fascia, and the instrument envelope lifts from its ledge. Each contact surface has a defined place in the assembly.
