A bench fixture designed to position a small enclosure while leaving its features accessible for inspection.
An original Vekform CAD design study, shown through CAD views and a rendered workshop scene.
The housing, base, replaceable contact strips and adjustable stop shown separately.
Positioning the housing
A small enclosure can shift on a flat bench during inspection. This design gives it a defined place to sit, with fixed locators along its sides and an adjustable stop at one end.
The housing sits between fixed locators and the adjustable stop.
The operator seats the housing against the locators by hand. The open arrangement leaves the housing accessible without a clamp over the top.
Fixed locators define the housing’s intended position.
Replaceable contacts and an adjustable stop
The contact strips are separate from the base, so the contact material can be changed without redesigning the whole fixture. The stop uses two indexed positions, spaced 8 mm apart in the CAD model.
The contact strips and removable locating pin are separate components.
Separating rigid and flexible parts
The design separates the rigid base and stop from the flexible contact strips. ASA and TPU are the proposed materials. Each component can be prepared for its own material and print orientation.
Individual CAD components arranged for a clear view of their shapes.
The assembly in context
This view illustrates the proposed assembly on a workbench.
