3D Printed Sailboat Hardware and Obsolete Yacht Parts

Instrument bezels, compass covers, sheave covers, batten parts, tiller grips, port trim, and switch panel pieces for older sailboats.

What we do

Sailboats last for decades and their plastic parts do not. On a thirty year old boat the hull is fine, the rig is fine, and the instrument bezel, the hatch handle, or the port trim ring is cracked and long out of production. The builder may not exist anymore.

Send us the original, even in pieces, and we rebuild it in a marine grade printing material. ASA for anything in sun and spray, polycarbonate for parts that see impact or heat, nylon for parts that flex, and TPU for seals and pads.

Parts we make most

Instrument bezels and covers

Hatch and port trim

Hatch handles, port trim rings, and vent covers.

Sheave and block covers

Plastic covers and cheeks on blocks and sheaves that carry no load.

Tiller and helm grips

Tiller grips, wheel trim, and handles.

Batten and sail parts

Batten tensioners, end caps, and slide stops for light duty use.

Cabin and switch panel parts

Switch panel pieces, light covers, and cabin trim.

Material by job

We choose the material from what the part has to survive, not from what it was originally made of.

Where the part livesMaterialWhy
Sun, heat, weatherASAUV stabilized and weather resistant, the right pick for anything that lives outside.
Heat and impactPolycarbonateHighest heat tolerance of the group and very tough.
Clips, latches, wearNylonTough and slightly flexible, so snap fits and latches do not crack.
Bumpers, seals, gripsTPURubber like flexibility in a range of hardness.

What we will not make

We do not print anything in the rig that carries load, such as blocks, shackles, or fittings under sheet or halyard tension, and nothing below the waterline. Those stay metal or certified hardware.

How it works

One. Request a quote and describe the part. A photo helps. Two. Mail the part to the address we send you, every fragment included, or in metro Atlanta ask us to pick it up. Three. We model it and send the price and ship date. Four. Approve, and we print, finish, and ship the part back with your original.
